Manana Nonomura

Manana Nonomura is a first-year student at Samejima Private Academy and the protagonist Chiho's longtime companion dating back to their childhood. Unlike the game-obsessed Chiho, Manana desperately yearns to shed her otaku image and break into the ranks of the socially popular—yet both girls find themselves perpetually stuck at the bottom of the school's social ladder. She carries a subtly cunning streak and a fierce sense of pride; although her bond with Chiho runs deep, their daily commute is rarely peaceful, filled with biting sarcasm and petty schemes aimed at each other. She is the quintessential example of a frenemies-style best friend.
