Serving as an ever-present yet unseen force throughout the Date A Live anime, the Narrator delivers world-building exposition and scene-setting commentary in a voice dripping with gravitas. What truly sets this character apart, however, is the seamless pivot from solemn narration to utterly absurd jabs at protagonist Shido Itsuka—most memorably, the legendary suffering of his wallet. Voiced by the masterful Kotono Mitsuishi, the stark contrast between professional delivery and ridiculous content transforms the Narrator into one of the series' most beloved and recognizable running gags.
