Okou is the heart and soul of Izumoya, a rental goods shop nestled in Edo's Fukagawa district, which she co-manages alongside her adoptive younger brother Kiyoji. Known for her striking appearance and lively personality, she has earned the deep affection of the local townspeople. Though she often comes across as strict with Kiyoji, her trust in him runs deep. Together with Kiyoji and the enigmatic tsukumogami spirits dwelling in the shop, she takes on all manner of peculiar requests and mysterious incidents that arise throughout Edo.
