Once a celestial angel, Panty was cast out of Heaven due to her disgraceful conduct and exiled to Daten City on Earth. In order to earn her way back into paradise, she hunts ghosts alongside her sister Stocking under the supervision of priest Garterbelt, collecting heaven coins as reward. Despite her duties, she consistently prioritizes chasing attractive men and indulging in sexual encounters over actual mission work, with a sharp tongue and a reckless disregard for consequences. In combat, she transforms her own removed underwear into the divine weapon known as Backlace, wielding it as a firearm.
