Sachi Akafuku

Sachi Akafuku is the classmate and close friend of the protagonist, Ai Yasumi. When Ai becomes determined to learn manga creation from their teacher, Rei Teshima, Sachi is the one who proactively proposes founding the "Manga Research Club," giving the group a proper space to work. Unlike the other members who are passionate about writing or drawing, Sachi does not draw at all; instead, she participates purely as an avid reader. Driven by her deep love for the medium, she possesses an incredibly sharp and insightful eye for critique, offering precise, editor-like feedback that helps her friends improve their work. Her vital role in the club is honored in their collaborative pen name, "Akafuku Sou," which beautifully incorporates her surname alongside her friends' names.
