Sakuranbou

Sakuranbou, widely known by the nickname 'Cherry,' is a wandering monk who roams freely throughout the story. As the uncle of the shrine maiden Sakura, he claims to possess formidable spiritual power and has a habit of appearing out of nowhere in the most unexpected locations. He frequently delivers ominous prophecies to the protagonist Ataru, yet despite his monastic role, he is notorious for his insatiable appetite and his tendency to mooch meals wherever he goes—making him a persistent source of disorder in the series.
