Yako Kumai

Yako Kumai is a first-year student at Tamariza High School who takes on the bass role in the a cappella club. Long embarrassed by the deep tone of her own voice, she had chosen to keep her distance from others—until Kika Komaki pulled her into the club by force. As she participated in group singing, she came to realize that her voice was an indispensable pillar holding the harmony together, gradually learning to embrace herself and rediscovering confidence through music.
