Anime Dubbing: Japanese Original Audio vs. Local Dubbing? What are your habits?

I've always wanted to ask this question: when you watch anime, do you prefer the original Japanese audio with subtitles, or local dubbing?<br><br>Personally, I'm used to the original Japanese audio because I feel the Japanese voice actors' acting is excellent and their emotional expression is more on point. But I recently tried a few English dubs and found the quality wasn't bad at all.<br><br>Also, did anyone grow up watching anime with Cantonese dubs? The Cantonese dubbing from TVB and ATV back in the day really had a special charm. What is everyone's preference?
