My experience of coming out to my family as an anime fan
When I was little, I used to hide and watch anime in secret. One time, my mom discovered the figures in my room, and she was so shocked she thought I was worshipping idols. 😂
Later, I plucked up the courage to explain it to her and even took her to watch Spirited Away. After watching it, she said, "I didn't realize animation could have so much depth." From that day on, she stopped opposing my hobby.
