Want to get an anime gift for a friend but she's hard to buy for, help!

My friend's birthday is next month. She's an anime fan, but I'm not really familiar with anime. She seems to like "Jujutsu Kaisen" and "Spy x Family," but I don't know what to get her. I'm considering: - Figures? But I don't know which character or brand is good. - Manga? But I'm worried she might already have them. - T-shirts? Seems a bit too generic. - A meal at a themed cafe? But I don't know if there are any available. My budget is around $300-500. Can anyone give me some advice? Nothing too tacky, please—she's a girl.

Why not just take him to Sino Centre and let him pick for himself? That’s the most foolproof way, and you can even treat it as a date.

If your budget is $300-500, I recommend checking out Megahouse or Good Smile's Nendoroid series. Nendoroids are super cute, and you can swap their expressions and accessories; they're even great for displaying in the office.

If she likes SPY×FAMILY, there are tons of Anya merchandise options! I recommend the Banpresto Q Posket series; the quality is great, and they cost around $150-200. Girls generally really like them.

I think giving an art book/setting collection is a good idea. "Jujutsu Kaisen" has an official art book out, and the quality is excellent. Just make sure to check that they haven't bought it already.
