My honest reviews after visiting six anime-themed restaurants in Hong Kong

I spent three months visiting all the anime-themed restaurants in Hong Kong. Here are my honest reviews:

1. Causeway Bay "One Piece" Themed Restaurant — Food: 7/10, Environment: 8/10, worth a visit
2. Mong Kok 2D Bar — Drinks are OK, best atmosphere
3. A certain themed cafe in Tsim Sha Tsui — Food is average, but great for photos
4. Newly opened anime cafe in Sham Shui Po — Best value for money, highly recommended
5. Kwun Tong industrial building cafe — A hidden gem, the latte art is beautiful
6. A certain limited-time cafe in Wan Chai — Already closed, no rating

Japanese anime cafes are very different from the ones in Hong Kong... but it's actually not bad that Hong Kong has managed to reach this level.

It would be an even bigger plus if there were a restaurant that played anime song BGM. Music has a huge impact on the atmosphere.

I hope an anime restaurant can open in the New Territories too. It's so inconvenient to have to go into the city every time just to eat.

From a financial perspective: Anime-themed restaurants are on average 20-30% more expensive. If you consider it an admission fee, it's actually OK.

I know which Kwun Tong industrial building cafe you're talking about! It's the one on XX Road, on the 5th floor. The owner is an anime fan, and the decor is very thoughtful.

I've been to the one in Causeway Bay too. The latte art is beautiful, but the taste is just average. It's mainly for taking photos.

I've been to the One Piece restaurant in Causeway Bay! The environment is indeed nice, but the food is on the expensive side.

It would be really interesting if anime restaurants collaborated with doujin events to host an event. The perfect combination of grabbing a drink and buying doujinshi.
