Introduction / Synopsis
Summary
Gatchaman Crowds is an original sci-fi action TV anime produced by Tatsunoko Production, directed by Kenji Nakamura with series composition by Toshiya Ono. The story follows the energetic new recruit Hajime Ichinose as she joins the GATCHAMAN team, challenging conventional heroism with her unconventional outlook. Blending themes of social media, collective power, and human potential, the series reimagines what it means to be a hero in the modern age. With bold visuals and thought-provoking storytelling, Gatchaman Crowds is a must-watch for fans of action and sci-fi anime.
Plot
Set against the backdrop of early summer 2015, the story unfolds in Tachikawa City—a bustling urban center home to roughly 180,000 residents and widely regarded as the second metropolis of the greater Tokyo region. Beneath the city's ordinary surface lies a hidden world of extraordinary individuals known as Gatchaman. These warriors don special reinforced suits fueled by a mysterious energy called NOTE, which is the physical manifestation of unique spiritual forces found within living beings. A secretive council works behind the scenes to identify and recruit people with dormant abilities, forming a team dedicated to defending Earth against threats from beyond the stars. In recent times, the team has been dispatched to confront a baffling and enigmatic presence referred to as MESS. As new recruits join the ranks, the balance between humanity's future and an uncertain cosmic threat hangs in the air.
