Noragami Aragoto picks up where the first season left off, following the struggles of Yato, a minor deity without a shrine, devoted worshippers, or much of anything to his name. Armed with little more than his trusty regalia Yukine and an unbreakable optimism, Yato scrapes by on five-yen offerings while dreaming of divine glory. But the heavens are far from peaceful. Bishamon, one of the most fearsome war gods in existence, harbors a deep and personal grudge against Yato — one rooted in a painful history neither of them can easily escape. Meanwhile, Hiyori Iki, the spirited young woman whose fate became entangled with Yato's, continues to navigate a life caught between the human and spirit worlds. As tensions among the gods begin to rise and unseen forces move in the shadows, Yato finds himself pulled into conflicts far greater than any five-yen wish could ever prepare him for.
