Sengoku Youko

Sengoku Youko is a dark, action-packed shounen fantasy anime with strong supernatural elements, produced by WHITE FOX under the direction of Masahiro Aizawa, with series composition by Jukki Hanada. Based on the manga by Satoshi Mizukami, the series follows Shinsuke Hyoudou, Tama Youko, and Jinka Yamato in a world where dark fantasy and tragedy intertwine across a turbulent feudal era.

Set in a turbulent era where humanity and supernatural creatures known as katawara stand on opposing sides, Sengoku Youko follows an unlikely trio navigating a world rife with conflict. At the heart of the story is Tama Youko, a katawara who holds an unwavering love for humans and dedicates herself to shielding them from harm—even when that means confronting her own kind. Her brother, Jinka Yamato, sees the world through a very different lens: though he is largely human himself, he harbors a deep-seated contempt for humankind. The two are joined by Shinsuke Hyoudou, a timid swordsman driven by a burning desire to grow stronger. Together, this mismatched group ventures through a dangerous landscape where the line between human and monster grows ever more uncertain.
