Plot

Tokyo Ghoul:re unfolds in a Tokyo where the CCG (Commission of Counter Ghoul) has grown into an overwhelming force, reshaping the city's balance of power in the wake of past conflicts. Ghoul organizations, most notably the radical group Aogiri Tree, have begun adapting their tactics in response to the CCG's mounting pressure. To further strengthen their capabilities, the CCG introduces the Quinx Squad — a unique unit composed of humans who have undergone experimental surgery granting them ghoul-like abilities, allowing them to fight on equal footing with their targets. At the helm of this squad is Haise Sasaki, a half-ghoul investigator mentored by the legendary Kishou Arima. Capable and dedicated, Haise carries out his duties with conviction — yet fragments of an unfamiliar past continue to surface uninvited in his mind, hinting that his identity may be far more complicated than it appears.
