《通往夏天的隧道，再見的出口》 US Theater Release
The animated film "The Tunnel to Summer, the Exit of Goodbyes" will be released in U.S. theaters on November 3.
HIDIVE announced on Wednesday that it will begin screening Tomohisa Taguchi's "The Tunnel to Summer, the Exit of Goodbyes" in U.S. theaters on November 3. This animated film is adapted from the youth novel "The Tunnel to Summer, the Exit of Goodbyes" by Mei Hachimoku and Kukka.
The company will screen the world premiere of the English dubbed version at New York Comic Con on October 12 at 7:30 PM ET, along with a panel discussion with the voice actors. The premiere and panel discussion will be held in Room 405 of the Javits Center. Tickets will go on sale on October 10.
The film was released in Japan in September 2022. Ōji Suzuka (Kaoru Tōno) plays Kaoru Tōno, and Marie Iitoyo (Anzu Hanashiro) plays Anzu Hanashiro. Otakon screened the English-subtitled world premiere of the film on July 29.
HIDIVE has licensed the film and describes the story as:
Urashima Tunnel Once you enter that tunnel, you can get anything you want, but there is a price to pay. Kaoru Tōno, who seems to have an elusive personality and a traumatic past, and Anzu Hanashiro, who is struggling to reconcile her ideal image with her genuine attitude, form a team to investigate the Urashima Tunnel and get what they want. This is an unforgettable summer story, filled with nostalgia and scenes of running through the remote countryside.
