Hinata Misogiya

Hinata Misogiya is a middle school student and the eldest daughter of the Misogiya family, who have historically managed the forbidden western mountains where the deity Yamatagi Madara is enshrined. Preferring short hair for convenience and wearing pants instead of skirts, she sports a boyish look, though at her core she is an easygoing person who loves to laze around. During a stormy night, she and her younger brother Kaoru wander into the forbidden forest and come face-to-face with Yamatagi Madara, a terrifying half-human, half-snake curse god. However, because Hinata possesses exceptionally strong spiritual senses, she is completely accustomed to supernatural phenomena; instead of running away in terror, she casually nicknames the deity 'Dara-san' and quickly befriends her. Approaching even terrifying supernatural entities with an incredibly natural, flat, and fearless attitude, she frequently throws the god off-balance, driving the comical and heartwarming daily interactions of the story.
