Isamu Kondou

As the central leader of the Mibu Roshigumi (Shinsengumi), Isamu Kondou was born into a farming family yet carried a samurai spirit stronger than anyone else in the organization, with swordsmanship that stood above the rest. Honest, straightforward, and naturally unaffected in character, he placed the utmost importance on righteousness and the bonds shared with his comrades, serving as the spiritual core that united them all. Amid the turbulent streets of Kyoto in the final years of the Edo period, he led his fellow warriors to maintain order, devoting himself to the samurai way through the unwavering principle of "Makoto."
