Nariko

In "World Is Dancing," Nariko is the lawful wife of Ashikaga Yoshimitsu, the third Shogun of the Muromachi shogunate. She is a gentle, elegant, and soft-spoken woman who is highly respected by those around her. Nariko has a deep passion for the performing arts and holds a refined appreciation for composing waka poetry. While she appears soft and accommodating on the surface, she possesses a keen sensitivity and an unyielding inner strength, holding fast to her personal convictions and the things she cherishes. As a supportive presence, she quietly watches over Oniyasha and his companions, inspiring others around her—such as Chiharu, a young girl who deeply admires Nariko and takes up flute practice in her honor as an alternative to dance.
