Teru Kounokura

Teru Kounokura is the matriarch of the prominent Kounokura family. Although her tall stature, sharp gaze, and commanding aura initially give others—including her newly adopted stepdaughter Miya Nakamura—an intimidating first impression, she is actually a deeply affectionate, humorous, and open-minded noblewoman. Firmly believing that family ties go beyond mere blood relations, she warmly takes Miya into the household after the girl's biological mother passes away. Out of respect for Miya's memory of her late mother, Teru playfully has Miya address her as "Mommy". Alongside her daughters Marika and Arisa, Teru uses her unique sense of humor and overwhelming love to guide and care for Miya, helping her adjust to her new high-society life in the warmest way possible.
