Do you guys skip dialogue and just look at the pictures when reading manga?

Machine-translated from Traditional Chinese
Asking a bit of an embarrassing question... when you guys read manga, do you skip the text dialogue and just look at the panels?

Sometimes when I read manga with really exciting battle scenes, I unconsciously skip the dialogue and just look at the fight choreography. Especially those manga with a lot of text (like the Narrator parts in the Chimera Ant arc of Hunter x Hunter), sometimes I just can't get into it.

But later I found out I skipped a lot of important plot... I had to go back and reread it 😂

Do you guys have this habit? Or do you carefully read every word?

Not to mention skipping dialogue in manga I've bought but haven't read... since I haven't even cracked them open yet (bitter laugh)
As a manga creator... it really breaks my heart to hear that people skip the dialogue 😂 But I understand; some manga really do have walls of text. As a reader, it's actually okay to look at the art first during battle scenes and then go back to read the dialogue.

Honestly... I do skip sometimes. Especially with webtoons that have a lot of nonsense dialogue. But for classic works, I definitely read every single word.

I read every word! Especially the Narrator in HxH. Although Togashi's text volume is large, every sentence has meaning. If you skip it, you'll really miss a lot of important information.
HxH Chimera Ant arc really is text hell... Back then I would look at the pictures first and then go back to read the text 😂 But Togashi's dialogues are actually quite important, miss them and you won't understand the plot.
