Is it really worth learning Japanese just to watch anime? Want some honest opinions

My main motivation for learning Japanese is to watch raw anime and understand what the voice actors are saying. I've spent two years going from zero to N3, but I feel like I'm still a long way from being able to watch without subtitles.<br><br>I'd like to ask those who have reached a certain level of proficiency:<br>1. At what level can you comfortably watch raw anime?<br>2. Besides anime, what are the practical uses of learning Japanese?<br>3. What is the most recommended way to learn?<br>4. If you could do it all over again, would you still learn it?<br><br>I really want to hear the opinions of those who have been through this.
