Captain Earth

Captain Earth is an original mecha sci-fi TV anime produced by the acclaimed animation studio BONES. When high schooler Daichi Manatsu reunites with childhood friends including Teppei Arashi and Hana Mutou, he finds himself thrust into an interstellar battle to defend the planet aboard a massive robot called Earth Engine. Set in a world where Earth faces a mysterious threat from beyond the stars, the story follows an ordinary teenager named Daichi Manatsu whose life takes an extraordinary turn when a strange rainbow appears near the Tanegashima Space Center—an eerie sight that echoes a haunting memory from his past. Drawn to investigate, Daichi soon finds himself entangled with Globe, a clandestine organization dedicated to protecting humanity from extraterrestrial dangers. What surprises everyone, including Daichi himself, is that his unconventional background as a dedicated gamer, combined with a unique compatibility with a mysterious weapon known as the Livlaster, makes him a natural candidate to pilot the Earth Engine Impacter—a colossal mech that stands as one of mankind's most powerful defenses. As the stakes grow ever larger, Daichi is joined by a team of talented young individuals, each bringing their own strengths to the fight for Earth's survival.
