我們懷著對原作的愛與尊重來創作 - 戲劇/電影 [我推的孩子] 櫻井海音(Aqua的扮演者)與齋藤永久(Ruby的扮演者)專訪

We create with love and respect for the original - Drama/Movie [Children I Pushed] Interview with Umine Sakurai (player of Aqua) and Hisaga Saito (player of Ruby)

This is "The Kid I Pushed", an anime about the bizarre showbiz world. It is extremely popular, so much so that it has been adapted into a live-action movie! The series will be exclusively broadcast globally on Prime Video at 9 pm on November 28, 2024 (Thursday), while the movie "The Kid I Pushed - The Last Stand" will be broadcast nationwide on December 20 (Friday) Released.
Animate Times had the pleasure of interviewing two actors, Uine Sakurai, who plays Aqua, and Nagisa Saito, who plays Ruby.
During the interview, Ms. Sakurai said that she "absolutely does not want anyone else to play Aqua", while Mr. Saito said that he has always hoped to "play Ruby" one day.
So, what do they think is the charm of "The Kid I Pushed"?

First, we asked them how they felt when they were offered the film.
Ms. Sakurai said that before receiving the invitation, she had already watched "The Child I Pushed" and loved the work very much.
When she received the offer, she was surprised and delighted, but also stressed because she wanted to add to the hugely popular production.
But her enthusiasm outweighs the pressure, and she says she would never want to see someone else reprise her favorite role in a production she loves.

For Mr. Saito, after reading the original work, he had already determined that if this work was made into a live-action movie, he must play Ruby.
So when he heard the news, he was very happy.
He admitted that he felt pressure at times, but it was more about his anticipation and enthusiasm for the performance.

Both of them appreciated Mr. Akasaka's delicate depiction of the story and said that they did not feel any resistance or pressure when filming a film depicting the "real backstage" of the entertainment industry. Instead, they felt relieved and interesting.

Next, they shared their thoughts on their characters Aqua and Ruby.
Ms. Sakurai believes that Aqua’s charm lies in her persistence in what she does and her character that never stops once she decides to move forward.
Mr. Saito believes that Ruby’s charm lies in her innocent and cheerful heart and her secrets, such as her past life emotions.

At the end of the interview, they said that during the filming process, they all worked very hard to learn songs and dances, and enjoyed the time together, encouraging each other to do their best.
They are all very excited to be a part of this crew.
