"Tunnel to Summer, Goodbye Exit" released in U.S. theaters

The animated film "Tunnel to Summer, Goodbye Exit" will be released in U.S. theaters on November 3.
HIDIVE announced on Wednesday that it will begin screenings in U.S. theaters on November 3 of Taguchi Tomohisa's "Tunnel to Summer, Goodbye Exit," an animated film adapted from Yami Mi and Kukka's "Tunnel to Summer," Goodbye Exit" young adult novel.

The company will screen the world premiere of the English-dubbed version and host a panel discussion with the voice actors at New York Comic Con on October 12 at 7:30 p.m. ET. The premiere and panel discussion will be held in Room 405 of the Javits Center. Tickets will go on sale on October 10th.

The film will be released in Japan in September 2022. Suzuka Joe (Tano Kaoru) plays Tano Kaoru in the film, and Iitomo Marie (Hanagi Kaoru) plays Hana Cheng An. Otakon screened the premiere of the English-subtitled version of the film on July 29.

HIDIVE has licensed the film and describes the storyline:
Urashima Tunnel Once you enter that tunnel, you can get anything you want, but there's a price to pay. Kaoru Tano, who seems to have an elusive personality and a traumatic past, and Anjou Hanagi, who is struggling to reconcile her ideal image and heartfelt attitude, form a team to investigate the Urashima Tunnel and get what they want. This is an unforgettable summer story, full of nostalgia and a dash through the remote countryside.
