Ai Hayase

Ai Hayase is a fellow classmate of Makoto Hanaoka, with the two forming a friendship on the very first day of high school. However, upon learning that Makoto was male, Ai found herself overwhelmed by confusion, which created a rift between them. She carried a lingering sense of regret over that period of distance for a long time, until a school trip provided the opportunity to clear up the misunderstanding and restore their bond. From that point on, she became one of the most important supportive friends in Makoto's school life.
