Is the average monthly salary for animators only 150,000 yen? This industry is truly heartbreaking

A recent survey report on the Japanese animation industry has been released, and the data is shocking:<br><br>- Average monthly income for rookie animators: approx. 150,000 yen (approx. $8,000 HKD)<br>- Average monthly income for key animators: approx. 250,000 yen<br>- Episode directors/directors level: approx. 350,000-500,000 yen<br>- Over 40% of animators have considered changing careers<br><br>In other words, many of the people who create the amazing animations we watch every day struggle to even make ends meet. Especially during the rookie stage, the majority are just getting by on "passion."<br><br>As consumers, what we can do is try our best to watch anime through official channels and buy merchandise.
