The official name is "PAWN Advanced 1".
Armor type refers to the name of the "reinforced armor suit" equipped by the driver. This is a closed extreme environment work suit covered by an armored shell and artificial muscles. Like traditional equipment, it has built-in life support equipment functions, making it possible to carry out long-term activities in contaminated areas such as around crystal furnaces.
There was an initial type called a chess piece, and the later improved type was this A1.
It was originally an advanced equipment for infantry, but due to the enhancement of physical abilities and various self-fulfilling functions, it was regarded as a driver's equipment, and link functions such as artificial intelligence KARMA were added, and A1 was developed.
The most different thing from ordinary animal armor is that the back connector is loaded with the regenerative energy resource "Hexagonal Gram" as a power source, enabling semi-permanent operation.
The artificial muscle fibers inside the armored suit are impregnated with Hexagonal Gram, greatly expanding the wearer's movement capabilities.
Currently, the mass production and supply of chess piece A1 is carried out by the "Freedom Alliance", a joint force of enterprises, but it has not been distributed to civilians, and it is difficult for individuals who do not belong to the same army to obtain it.

In response to the fierce battle, the shape of the hexagonal gear changed, and the driver's status also changed. Drivers themselves must also build muscle strength and toughness to keep up with evolving machines. The current Hex Gear values ​​agility over heavy armor, requiring the driver to be not just an operator, but a soldier fighting alongside them.
As basic weapons, it is equipped with a vibrating blade, a "hyper-vibrating sword" that cuts like a saw, and an "assault rifle."
The appearance is almost unchanged, but the manufacturer has made "minor changes" and the artificial muscles' Pava assistance and various functions have been improved.
Based on user feedback, the first product in the driver series "Driver Armor Type: Chess Piece A1" has been upgraded.

The armor on the head, upper arms, thighs, abdomen, and crotch has been changed from PVC material to PS material, making it easier to paint and modify. (The wrist is still PVC material)

As the materials changed, the structure of the parts was redesigned and the molds became new.
The overall design remains the same, with the head becoming a 3-part multi-color molding.
The connection method of the hexagonal Gram connector on the back is changed to 3mmφ shaft connection.

A joint mechanism not found in the old version has been added, and the structure has been changed to make it easier to play.
