The fourth-generation Civic, born in 1987, continued to use the 3-door HB, 4-door sedan, 5-door Shuttle, and the commercial Pro based on the Shuttle and 3 body styles that were well received in the previous generation. In particular, the Shuttle was also equipped with 4WD and was supported as a rare high-back model at the time. Even after switching to fifth generation in 1991, the Shuttle and Pro continued to be produced in the fourth generation, with the RV-colored Beagle added by 1994.
