Dororo

Dororo is a TV anime produced by MAPPA, adapted from the legendary manga by Osamu Tezuka. Set in a war-torn feudal Japan, the series follows Hyakkimaru, a young warrior born without limbs, senses, or organs after his father Kagemitsu Daigo sacrificed them to forty-eight demons in exchange for power. Set against the backdrop of a war-ravaged feudal Japan, where rival lords clash and demons lurk in the shadows, this dark fantasy follows two unlikely companions brought together by fate. Before Hyakkimaru was even born, his father Kagemitsu Daigo struck a sinister bargain with twelve demons, sacrificing his unborn child's body in exchange for earthly dominion and prosperity. Abandoned at birth and left to the mercy of the river, Hyakkimaru was discovered and taken in by the physician Jukai, who fashioned him extraordinary prosthetic limbs and trained him in the art of the sword. Through his battles, Hyakkimaru comes to realize that defeating each demon may hold the key to reclaiming what was stolen from him. Now he wanders the devastated land, blade in hand, hunting the demons that haunt this broken world.
