Complained by neighbors for watching anime too loudly late at night, what should I do?

I was watching the final season of "Attack on Titan" at 2 AM last night, and I got so immersed that I didn't realize I had turned the volume up... I received a complaint letter from the management office this morning😱

I'd like to ask everyone, what are some ways to watch anime late at night without disturbing others?
- Headphones? But they are very uncomfortable to wear for long periods.
- Soundbar? I heard some can direct the sound.
- Lower the bass? But action scenes feel like they're missing something without the bass.

Does anyone have any good solutions?
