The Balk Weapon Beta is a modified version of the "Alpha Type" that was hailed as a famous machine and also pointed out problems in actual combat. It is the second generation Hexa Gear. Development and manufacturing are both done by the military-industrial complex MSG, identical to the "Alpha type".
The appearance features of this aircraft are mainly reflected in the legs. The legs are equipped with movement assist devices. Compared with the "α type", the cruising speed has been greatly improved. This is because the Balk weapon series, especially the "α type", uses armor materials with excellent durability, but sacrifices mobility, making it difficult to cooperate with other land warfare weapons such as combat vehicles. This is a response to this problem. An improvement plan.
In order to cope with this high-speed modification, the head has also been changed from the "α type", using sensors more suitable for mid-to-close combat, and a model that emphasizes mobile combat.
Regarding the mounted firearms, the standard version shipped directly from the manufacturer is only equipped with the most basic submachine gun and hot knife, which also reflects the concept of high speed.
There are also differences from the α type, such as the expanded range of movement of the frame of the working limb of the arm. As the freedom of various movements increases, close combat tactics become more extensive. The end of the working limb continues to use the iron fist inherited from the "α type", so fighting attacks using this strike can also be highly effective. In particular, the use of suspended units for accelerated strikes is considered an effective assault tactic.
From the moment the aircraft is deployed, GOVERNOR will customize the aircraft according to their respective missions, terrain and combat conditions. Therefore, only a few of them fly with the above-mentioned standard specifications.
Some people will add firearms stolen from the enemy, and others will equip the strong armored body with large swords and other equipment for close combat.
Many of the weapons circulated by developer MSG at the time were used as parts to strengthen the machine body, resulting in countless customized machines. This is something that any GOVERNOR who has appeared on the battlefield knows.
GOVERNOR likes to use the beta type with enhanced mobility. In order to bring out the original characteristics of the machine, it often uses light to medium-level weapons, and sometimes even reduces the armor.
However, due to the constant changes in combat situations and various factors (including personal economic status and hobbies), "operation methods that deviate from the concept of the airframe" are the norm on the battlefield. For example, in order to support the firepower of the unit, large firearms are equipped for face-to-face operations. It was suppressed and turned out to be too heavy. The leg unit was removed and replaced with a "crawler unit" with a high load capacity.
