As a manga warehouse manager, my One Piece collection is already packed to the brim. But the quality of this chapter makes me feel like every single volume is worth it.
Heartbroken to the core... It's already very hard to find a complete set of the first edition of SLAM DUNK nowadays. I know several collectors who have been searching for a complete first edition set
I think giving an art book/setting collection is a good idea. "Jujutsu Kaisen" has an official art book out, and the quality is excellent. Just make sure to check that they haven't bought it already.
I've bought the entire set of OP manga from the first volume until now, and my bookshelf is already full. But I can't bear to throw any of them away; each volume holds memories.
I've bought over a hundred manga volumes that I have no space for... but every time I go to Sino Centre and see new stuff, I can't help myself. This is truly an addiction.
I bought the physical copy but haven't read it yet, so I should probably switch to the digital version... at least the digital version won't take up space, and I can read it at my own pace.
My approach is: read the manga first for the plot, then watch the anime to experience the direction. The two complement each other for the best experience.
Some cancelled works actually see their first volume tankobon increase in value. From a collector's perspective, they have a different kind of value.
I have quite a few BDs that I've bought but haven't watched yet... (whispers) But just the feeling of owning them is satisfying enough.
